Spearman's Duels

Spearman's Duels is a fighting game with a PvP duel mode and also a PvE duel mode. In the game, you control a medieval soldier, starting off with a spear and a gambeson (medieval fabric armour), and fight a similarly armed foe in multiple rounds, gaining weapons and armour as you do so.

Items include:

1. Spear - The default weapon with decent range, damage, and attack speed, but is useless up close
2. Arming sword - A single handed sword with rapid short range attacks, useful against unarmoured enemies but bad against armour
3. Battle axe - A single handed axe with slower but more powerful attacks than the sword, better suited against armour than the sword. You can also try rapidly switching between the sword and axe to attack faster
4. Shield - A large rectangular shield that can be used alongside the spear, sword, or axe to block incoming attacks, but has a cooldown after being hit
5. Bow - A long range weapon with slow but decently powerful attacks, useful against unshielded enemies. Can be upgraded from the hunting bow to the longbow for better damage
6. Halberd - A polearm with a spear attack similar to the spear, or a powerful axe attack that deals large amounts of damage even against armoured enemies
7. Helmet - Decent, low cost armour for your head (you only have one hitbox, so it protects your whole body)
8. Cuirass - Expensive yet strong protection for your chest and back
9. Leg armour - Armour for your legs
10. Closed helmet - An upgrade for your helmet that improves protection while somehow not restricting vision or hearing

Also, if you want to fight another person, you must share or receive a code, so you can't fight random people online (there wouldn't be enough players for that anyway).

Much of the code for this game was taken from Spearman's Campaign 2 Remastered, and for that I used ChatGPT and DeepSeek to generate a small amount of code to help me, but only when I didn't know how to do it myself, and usually checked other online sources first, so overall I wrote around 98~99% of the code myself.
